Redeemer Hill Church - Hartford Connecticut
Mandate
Redeemer Hill Church exists to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the city of Hartford. We desire to be a city on a hill within Hartford, to seek the welfare of the city, to build relationships with the people of the city, and to work to transform Hartford. For God’s glory alone.
Motives
What motivates us at Redeemer Hill Church is the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is central to everything we do, teach, or live at RHC. Our values at RHC start with the gospel.
1. Community – The gospel is community. God lives in perfect community within the Trinity. Gospel Centered community is about brining imperfect people of all kinds together around the cross of Christ.
2. Truth – The gospel is truth and we must immerse ourselves in it. It shines light into the dark places and refines us to become more like Jesus everyday. Truth helps us seek justice for those who are shown none.
3. Grace – The gospel is grace. Jesus has given us grace so that we might have salvation through faith in him. Because grace has been poured out upon us we can only pour it out on others. Grace helps us to love mercy and to seek justice and to be humble before God.
4. Beauty – The gospel is beautiful. God made this world beautiful and sin has destroyed much of it. We want lives to be transformed and communities (Hartford) to be restored so that people can get a foretaste of the beauty to come in the new Heavens and Earth
